Mayo's Kitchen Table Crew give back to charities

A CHARITY calendar, Plates for Dates, has raised over €6,000 for charity.

It was the brainchild of Mayo group the Kitchen Table Crew, a bunch of friends who came together literally around the kitchen table to give a little back to local charities.

The Kitchen Table crew - Phil Noyes, Carmel Williams and Nuala Lyons - worked together on a calendar project, Plates for Dates, which was launched last October and proved a massive success.

Phil cooked meals - many from recipes passed down through generations - and professional photographer Carmel used her photography and design experience to produce a stunning calendar.

From the sales of the calendar they were able to present Cancer Care West with a cheque for €4,000, with €2,300 going to the local Kilkelly Development Committee.

Born from simple conversations around the kitchen table, the Kitchen Table Crew's goal is to support and uplift the community through meaningful annual projects. Whether it's fundraising, volunteering, or bringing people together for a cause, they hope to make a real difference.
