Progress on pedestrian crossing in Mayo town

FOXFORD is finally seeing some progress on the pedestrian crossing in the town centre.

A road safety audit has been completed on the N26 crossing. The design and Section 38 notice is due to be published in Q1 of this year.

Local Councillor Neil Cruise welcomed the update in the monthly manager's report to Mayo County Council, asking that the notice in respect of the crossing be published as soon as possible.

He thanked all involved in the project, reiterating that the crossing needs to be made safer.

Councillor Cruise has been lobbying for issues with the pedestrian crossing to be urgently addressed.
