Mayo location for 2026 women's mini marathon revealed

The West of Ireland Women's Mini Marathon is returning to Ballina this year – and local councillors have welcomed the fact that planning is already well under way for the May 3 event.

“The work done over the years in relation to it was really tremendous. Volunteers and (council) staff here went above and beyond the call of duty,” said Councillor Michael Loftus.

The head of Ballina MD, Declan Turnbull, confirmed that planning meetings have been held in relation to the event.
