Wet and windy conditions continue across Mayo
Wet and windy conditions will dominate across County Mayo tomorrow Tuesday, January 27, with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, particularly during the morning.
There is a possibility of transient wintry falls on higher ground early in the day, before conditions briefly turn brighter as clearer spells and showers move in from the south.
However, this improvement will be short-lived, with further spells of rain expected to spread northwards during the afternoon and evening.
Winds will be fresh to strong and gusty from the east, with the strongest gusts expected around early evening.
Daytime temperatures will range from 6 to 9 degrees.
The national outlook indicates that the unsettled regime will persist, with low pressure systems continuing to influence conditions across the country.
Tonight, it will remain wet and windy at first, with widespread showers or longer spells of rain.
Winds will gradually ease overnight, allowing showers to become more scattered and longer clear breaks to develop.
Overnight temperatures will dip to between 2 and 6 degrees, with easterly winds becoming southerly and easing to moderate to fresh by morning.
