Emergency exercise taking place at Mayo airport today

IF you see flashing emergency lights or smoke at Ireland West Airport today, don't be alarmed.

Passengers and members of the public are being advised that Ireland West Airport will be conducting a major emergency exercise on-site at the airport today (Tuesday).

These exercises are held to tests the readiness of the airport and other agency teams to respond to a major incident.

Flight schedules will not be affected as a result of the exercise, and the airport will operate as normal for passengers.
