FILM CLUB
Fusing movies and meditation on February 3, Notes from Sheepland follows Orla Barry as she floats between the world of sheep farming and art. A self-confessed sheep addict, she is a decade farming and still wonders what possessed her to start, but yet she wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
While the sheep slowed her art career, caring for them has hugely inspired it. She escapes the studio by going to the sheep, escapes the sheep by hiding in her studio.
An optional short guided meditation by Heartfulness Meditation Ireland ensues directly after the film.
SONG
Sing Your Song In Style with Annemarie Gibbons, a fun and uplifting workshop series, encompassing six sessions, commences Friday, January 30. Whether new to singing or returning after a break, celebrated vocal coach and singer Annemarie Gibbons will help you find your voice - and enjoy using it.
Participants will be guided through essential vocal techniques such as breathing, tone, and expression, all while building confidence and learning how to connect with an audience, starting with your supportive workshop group, in the friendly Linenhall environment.
COMEDY
Having previously supported Rosie O’Donnell, who enthused “Sharon is fabulous and hilarious", Sharon Mannion delivers her new comedy show, Jukebox Donkey, on Friday, February 6. She will also bring stories from working in Castlebar in the '00s and won’t be holding back!
Resident host of Ireland’s longest running stand-up comedy club, The Comedy Cellar at the International, Mannion is also an actor, with her most infamous role being Concepta in hit series Bridget and Eamonn.
