Candidates confirmed ahead of Mayo Football League EGM
The Connacht FA has confirmed the list of candidates nominated by clubs ahead of the upcoming Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM), which will take place on February 4 in the Castlecourt Hotel, Westport.
Two candidates have been officially nominated for the position of Honorary Secretary of the Mayo Football League.
John Durkan has received nominations from Bangor Hibs, Ballinrobe Town, Manulla FC, Claremorris FC, Partry Athletic, Fahy Rovers, Achill Rovers, Killala FC, Crossmolina FC, Iorras Aontaithe, Conn Rangers, Ballyvary Blue Bombers, Kilmore FC, Straide & Foxford.
He will be contested by Martin Kielty, who has been nominated by Castlebar Celtic, Swinford FC and Ballina Town.
Meanwhile, nominations have also been confirmed for membership of the League Management Committee, with a strong field of thirteen candidates put forward by clubs across the county.

The newly elected committee will be tasked with rescheduling the postponed Mayo Football League awards night as well as ensuring the league kicks off in prompt fashion.
Last week the Connacht FA sent notice to clubs that the league's commencement will be pushed back two weeks to help the new committee to get its feet under the table.
