Mayo GAA making progress in appointing chief executive officer
Mayo GAA is making steady progress in the appointment of its first chief executive officer and it is hoped to have the successful candidate in place by the end of February or early March.
Mayo GAA South Board chairman Donal Walshe (Kilmaine) outlined the latest developments on the matter at last night's meeting of the county board.
“The situation at the moment is Collins McNicholas, specialist recruitment and HR consultancy, is handling the matter.
"The number of applicants will be whittled down to five, after which the first round of interviews will take place.
"It is totally in their hands. We are hoping to have a person in place in the coming weeks.
"Collins McNicholas Recruitment has been very helpful in identifying the right candidate."
