Four changes for Mayo footballers as the Dubs come west
The Mayo team to face Dublin in Division 1 of the Allianz National Football League this weekend shows four changes from that which defeated Galway in the opening round last Sunday.
Into the team come captain Jack Coyne, Rory Brickenden (who was named to start last week but was replaced by Stephen Coen before throw-in), Paddy Durcan and James Carr.
Moran, in what is his first home league game as manager, will be looking for his second victory of the campaign following last week's roller-coaster of a game in Salthill, which Mayo won by goal in the end after leading by 11 points at one stage.
The game on Sunday (February 1) at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park throws in at 1.30 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance either online at https://am.ticketmaster.com/gaa/mayoaflfixtures or from selected Centra and SuperValu shops.
The Mayo team in full is as follows: Robbie Hennelly; Jack Coyne, Rory Brickenden, Enda Hession; Sam Callinan, Paddy Durcan, Stephen Coen; Bob Tuohy, David McBrien; Jack Carney, Ryan O'Donoghue, Jordan Flynn; Darragh Beirne, James Carr, Tommy Conroy. The substitutes are: Jack Livingstone, Donnacha McHugh, Michael Plunkett, Fenton Kelly, Diarmuid O’Connor, Aidan O’Shea, Seamus Howard, Diarmuid Duffy, Fergal Boland, Paul Towey, Dylan Thornton.
