Protesters send out a clear message from outside Mayo GAA stadium

A protest has taken place outside McHale Park in Castlebar ahead of today's Allianz National Football League clash between Mayo and Dublin.

It was organised by Mayo Irish Palestinian Solidarity Campaign against the continued Allianz sponsorship of the GAA.

A statement by the group outlined: "Allianz was amongst companies listed in a report by UN special rapporteur on Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, as having continued links with the Israeli government."

Ten counties passed motions calling for the GAA to cut ties with Allianz, but in December the association's management committee decided to maintain the sponsorship agreement.
