'Welcome' sign for Mayo county town needed on new N5

'WELCOME to Castlebar' signage needs to be erected on the new N5.

It's the county town, Councillor Blackie Gavin pointed out at a municipal district meeting, and he called for the signs to be put in place.

When you go to Ballina you are met by a sign welcoming you to Ballina, the capital of north Mayo, he pointed out. And they needed proper signage to attract people into Castlebar.

Councillor Gavin also wants to see signage for Lough Lannagh.
