Mayo greenway plan update not due until summer

PLANS for the controversial Belclare - Murrisk greenway will not appear before councillors again until the summer.

The update was given at a municipal district meeting after Councillor Brendan Mulroy queried where the project is at and when will it come before them again.

He was told contact will be made with the national roads design office seeking a date on when they hope to bring it before the elected members.

The understanding is that it won't be before the summer, he was told.
