Change at head of leading Mayo football club
Philip Cresham has been elected chairman of Castlebar Celtic FC.
A member of the club's all-conquering side of the 1980s, he takes over the role from Padraig Cresham.
Celtic have a number of major projects in the pipeline, including the acquisition of the old swimming pool, adjacent to Celtic Park, which the club is seeking to re-develop for dressing rooms and other amenities.
The club is is also hoping to create history this year by become the first to win the Connaught Cup for three successive seasons.
Philip, who previously served as chairman during the construction of the clubhouse at Celtic Park, is wished every success in the position.
