Mayo midfielder joins UCD ahead of new season

Former Kiltimagh/Knock United midfielder Thomas Morley has signed for League of Ireland First Division side UCD ahead of the upcoming season.

The 19-year-old departs Sligo Rovers, where he built a reputation as a tough-tackling midfielder and became one of the club’s promising young talents.

Morley has also been capped at Ireland Under-19 level and will now be hoping to secure regular first-team football with the Students during the campaign.

A former student of St. Colman’s Secondary School, Morley has already wasted little time settling into life at Belfield.

He made his first start for UCD at the weekend in a pre-season clash against Shamrock Rovers, which ended in a 2-1 defeat at the UCD Astro in Belfield.
