Icy spell to bring unsettled conditions across Mayo
Tomorrow is expected to be a wet and breezy day across Mayo, with outbreaks of rain continuing for much of the day.
Fresh northeast winds will add to the wintry feel on Thursday, February 12 with temperatures falling noticeably.
Highest afternoon temperatures are forecast to reach only 4 to 7 degrees.
Nationally, conditions are set to turn colder for the next couple of days as an Arctic airmass feeds southwards over the country.
While it is expected to become less cold later in the weekend, unsettled weather will persist into next week.
Thursday night will remain wet and breezy at first, though a clearance will extend southwards from the north.
Rain and drizzle may linger longer in eastern areas before easing later. As skies clear, temperatures will drop sharply, with frost and icy patches likely to develop as northerly winds gradually ease.
Lowest temperatures are expected to range from -3 to +2 degrees.
