Successful overnight repair of burst main in north-west Mayo
Water supply has returned to normal levels in the Tallagh area of Belmullet this morning after the successful repair of a burst water main.
Crews worked late into Tuesday night to complete the complex repairs on the main. Repairs were completed at approximately 11 p.m. and the network successfully recharged overnight.
All customers in the area have a full water supply this morning.
Traffic management measures at Tallagh Crossroads were necessary for the works to be carried out safely.
Colette Scahill of Uisce Éireann thanked impacted customers and road users for their co-operation while repairs were underway.
She stated: “This was a significant and complex repair which required our crews to work late into the night to complete.
“We acknowledge the inconvenience that a burst such as this can cause and we wish to thank impacted customers for their understanding while repairs were underway.”
