Hollywood or Burrishoole? The lines will be blurred on February 21 next.

Mayo GAA club announces 'Hollywood' fundraising spectacular!

Burrishoole GAA Club has announced an upcoming community fundraising event entitled 'Burrishoole Goes to Hollywood'.

Taking place on Saturday, February 21, it promises to deliver an unforgettable evening of glitz, glamour, entertainment and community spirit.

Twelve weeks of fundraising events – everything from pickleball marathons to duck races – have helped the event come to a finale next weekend.

Supported by so many local businesses, Burrishoole Goes to Hollywood will see club members and community participants recreate iconic scenes from a range of much-loved productions, including The Snapper, Sister Act, A Few Good Men, Man About Dog, Bridesmaids, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and Derry Girls.

With involvement from so many members of the club and the wider community, the night is set to showcase the creativity, humour, talent and fun.

Hosting the evening will be popular MC Jimmy Jest, while performances will be judged by a panel featuring TV presenter Gráinne McElwain, entertainer Stephen 'Cowboy' Kelly, and acclaimed comedian and presenter Katherine Lynch.

Following the performances, guests will enjoy live music, finger food, and celebrations, ensuring a full night of entertainment for all attendees. Organisers promise a night of Hollywood-style glamour that will bring the entire community together in support of the club.

Tickets are priced at €40, and supporters are encouraged to follow Burrishoole GAA’s social media channels for further event details and ticket information.

With excitement building and preparations well underway, Burrishoole Goes to Hollywood is set to be one of the standout community events of the year – an evening where stars will shine locally while supporting the continued development of Burrishoole GAA.
