All-Mayo Connacht PPS Senior A football final postponed

The Mezzino Connacht GAA PPS Senior A football final between St. Gerald's College, Castlebar, and St. Muredach's College, Ballina, has been called off due to wintry conditions in Bekan.

Annoucing the decision, Connacht GAA said: “Due to a sudden deterioration in weather conditions, today’s Connacht PPS Senior A final has been postponed until next Friday, February 20, at 7 p.m. in the Connacht GAA COE. The decision has been made with the safety of players, officials, and supporters as the priority.”

Tickets purchased for today's final will be valid for the refixed game, or patrons can email the Connacht GAA office for a full refund. All stream purchases will be fully refunded.

Earlier, at the same venue, Balla Secondary School defeated Gortnor Abbey, Crossmolina, in the Senior C final on a scoreline of 0-12 to 0-7, while St. Brendan's, Belmullet, got the better of St. Tiernan's, Crossmolina, in the Senior D final, winning 1-16 to 1-13 in Bonniconlon.

Yesterday evening (Friday), St. Nathy's, Ballaghaderreen, defeated St. Joseph's (The Bish), Galway, by 2-10 to 1-8, also in the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence, Bekan.
