Mayo town's sports ambassadors to lead local St. Patrick's Day parade
AFTER an exciting season for the players, the local GAA club, and the parish, the grand marshals for the 2026 St. Patrick's Day parade in Kiltimagh have been announced.
Kiltimagh GAA captain Liam Kelly and vice-captain Mattie Cummins will represent not only their team on the field, but also management, club, and the wider community on this special occasion.
Announcing their selection, Kiltimagh Tourism Festivals said both men have shown outstanding leadership, commitment and pride in the jersey throughout a memorable season, and are truly deserving ambassadors for the year ahead.
The Kiltimagh parade on St. Patrick's Day starts at 2 p.m. and the theme is Heroes & Legends.
From Irish myths and folklore, to local heroes, sporting legends, everyday champions and larger-than-life characters, this is your chance to celebrate the people and stories that deserve centre stage.
Schools, clubs, businesses, families and community groups are asked to start planning now and bring the magic to the streets of Kiltimagh this March.
Registration details and full parade information will be announced soon. Keep an eye on the Kiltimagh Tourism Festivals social media.
