Death of kind and caring Mayo woman mourned

THE death has occurred of Pauline Kilcoyne Walsh, Cregganacopple, Louisburgh, at Mayo University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Pauline, who worked for many years for the HSE in the McBride Home in Westport, is being remembered in tributes as a kind and caring lady, with a wonderful sense of humour.

One tribute said of Pauline: “You brought more of a smile to people's faces than you will ever know.”

Pauline was sister Castlebar councillor Michael Kilcoyne.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Michael Walsh and her parents Peter and Mary (neé Tierney) Kilcoyne, Pauline was dearly loved sister of Michael (Castlebar), Pat (Castlebar), Peter (Cregganacopple), Owen (Cloonboo, Headford), (Ann Hynes (Kilsallagh, Westport), Beatrice Gill (Kilsallagh), Nora Reilly (Murrisk), Bernadette Butler (Ballinroad, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford), Margaret O’Toole (Thornhill, Lecanvey, Westport), Kathleen Canavan (Kingstown, Clifden) and Geraldine Kilcoyne (Callacon, Louisburgh).

She will be sadly missed and forever loved by her heartbroken family, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and will also be fondly remembered by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, relatives, all the family circle, former work colleagues and many friends.

Pauline will repose in the Kilcoyne Family Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar, on Thursday from 5.30 to 7.30 p.m.
