Misunderstood Heron opening at a top Mayo tourist spot

POPULAR eatery the Misunderstood Heron is moving to an iconic location on the Mayo tourist trail.

It will be opening at the foot of Croagh Patrick at Campbell's Pub in April.

The seafood truck made serious culinary waves during its time based along Killary Harbour, proving a massive hit with international visitors and locals.

After the Leenane location ran into planning difficulties, the Heron took up residence at P. Dan's near Louisburgh last summer.

The move to Campbell's Pub in Murrisk was announced on its social media.

They said: “Seriously looking forward to getting this season up and moving and waving goodbye to long ol winter. We will be returning to our day time cafe vibes with pasties, cakes, coffee, alongside a small and mighty locally sourced food menu.”
