Women's Masters Cup finalists decided

Ballyvary Blue Bombers and Claremorris AFC will go head to head in the first ever Mayo Women's Masters Cup final, sponsored by Hurst Heating & Plumbing.

The Bombers got one over on Snugboro in their 1-0 semi-final win last night, with Claremorris seeing off the challenge of Kilmore 4-2 in the other semi-final.

Having lost to 'Boro in the league last week, the Bombers edged a tightly fought game to secure their place in the final. Scoreless at half-time, Grace Lynch got the deciding goal on 27 minutes and the BBB defence proved to be a fortress as anything Snugboro threw at them was repelled.

It was back and forth in the scoring in the other semi-final as Claremorris twice went in front only for Kilmore to peg them back. Goal number three on 27 minutes was followed up five minutes later by a second of the night for Emma Mullin as the south Mayo side progressed.

The final will be played on March 3.

One league game yesterday evening where Ballyglass A ran out 5-0 winners over Castlebar Celtic in Division One.
