Crews repairing burst water main in Mayo county town

UISCE Éireann crews have located and isolated a burst water main which is affecting supply to homes and businesses in Castlebar.

Uisce Éireann customers in the Moneen, Breaffy Road and Breaffy village areas of the town may be experiencing some intermittent outages or other supply disruptions as a consequence of this burst.

The network is being backfilled with reservoir supplies in order to minimise outages and customers in the Moneen and Breaffy can expect their supply to return in the next hour.

Crews have successfully isolated the burst to the residential areas of Ashwood and The Cedars.

Supply is expected to return to impacted customers in Ashwood and The Cedars at approximately 5 p.m. this evening.
