Rain clearing to brighter spells across Mayo on Friday

Winds will be moderate to fresh from the southwest, occasionally strong, particularly along exposed coastal areas.

Nationally, the outlook remains unsettled, with further spells of wet and windy weather expected.

Temperatures will also stay milder than average for the time of year.

Friday night will remain mostly cloudy with further outbreaks of rain and drizzle.

Drier conditions are expected to develop across southern areas overnight. It will stay windy, with fresh to strong southwesterly winds.

It will also be a mild night, with temperatures dropping no lower than 6 to 10 degrees.
