Mammogram x-ray services set to be restored in Mayo - HSE West

Mammogram x-ray service are set to be restored in Mayo on June 8 next.

The clinic will be located at the Primary Care Centre, Moneen, Castlebar.

The news has been relayed to Councillor Michael Loftus by the HSE West.

The loss of the services has caused much consternation across the county with patients having to travel to Galway.

Meanwhile, there is no confirmed date for the opening of the minor injury unit at Ballina District Hospital, Councillor Loftus has learned.

The recruitment process is ongoing and the expectation is that it will open before the end of April.
