WorkEqual free support event for women re-entering workforce
WorkEqual is hosting a free employment support event for 100 women in Galway on Wednesday, March 4, at The Connacht Hotel (9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m.), ahead of International Women’s Day, and women from Mayo are invited.
The event is designed to support women returning to work with practical tools, advice, and employer connections, and the event is open to any women in Connacht who are looking for help (re)entering the workplace.
Attendees will receive 1:1 career advice, take part in job-readiness workshops, and hear a styling talk with top tips for interview, helping women to feel confident as part of their ongoing journey to employment.
Registered charity WorkEqual is inviting women who wish to enter or return to the workforce to register their interest in attending this free event in Galway. Places can be reserved via the contact page at www.WorkEqual.ie.
Thanks to the support of Penneys, Primark, and State Street Foundation, along with Irish Public Employment Service, Intreo, this event offers women practical, accessible support as they take the next step in their journey into work.
Everyone will leave the day equipped with new skills and confidence for entering the job market. Attendees will also have the option of continuing to access WorkEqual’s free mentoring and coaching services after the event, for as long as support is needed.
WorkEqual worked with 821 new clients in 2025 which surpassed any previous year. The charity also onboarded more new volunteers than ever before - a panel of 196 volunteers help WorkEqual provide their free services throughout the year.
Clients consistently report that WorkEqual’s support boosts confidence during job searches, motivates them throughout the challenges of securing employment, and helps them succeed in interviews.
Over the past 13 years, WorkEqual has built a nationwide network of volunteers and bespoke initiatives that have supported thousands of women across Ireland to move forward in their career journey.
