Unbeaten Mayo could do with a win against Donegal
Unbeaten they may be in Division 2 of the LGFA Lidl National League, but Mayo could really do with a win against Donegal in Swinford Amenity Park on Sunday (2 p.m.).
With two wins and two draws so far, Mayo lie in third place behind Cavan and Donegal, and only the top two gain promotion to Division 1.
A victory for Mayo against Donegal would propel them into second place and leave their promotion hopes in their own hands with two rounds left to play (against Westmeath and Monaghan).
After suffering defeat to Cavan last time out, Donegal will be anxious to get back to winning ways too.
The same can be said for Mayo after drawing with Tyrone the last day, so it should be an intriguing contest in Swinford.
The selected Mayo starting team is: L. Brennan; É. Ronayne, D. Caldwell, L. Wallace; E. Brennan, C. Needham, L. Hanley; A. Geraghty, E. Murray; A. Kennedy, A. Staunton, T. Needham; M. Reilly, S. Walsh, S. Delaney.
Donegal's starting team is: C. Friel; N. Carr, E. McGinley, S. McFeely; T. Hegarty, F. McManamon, A. Caulfield; C. Brennan, R. Rodgers; B. McLaughlin, K. Dowds, N. Boyle; S. White, E. Gallagher, C. McGarvey.
