Cool but bright conditions ahead for Mayo

Rain will gradually clear eastwards across Mayo tomorrow morning (Thursday), paving the way for a largely dry day with sunny spells developing through the afternoon.

It will feel noticeably colder than recent days, with highest temperatures reaching just 5 to 7 degrees in moderate to fresh northwesterly winds.

Any lingering cloud and rain in the east will clear early on Thursday night. Clear spells will develop widely, leading to a dry and cold night.

Lowest temperatures will fall to between -2 and +2 degrees, with frost forming in many areas and the risk of icy patches on untreated surfaces.
