Mayo Young Sports Stars: Recognition for keen draughts players

Draughts players will be recognised for the very first time in the 2025 Connaught Telegraph Mayo Young Sports Stars Awards.

In a new category for us this year, the draughts champions are All-Ireland Under 10 champions – Team Kilmurray.

The members of the winning team – Erin Ruane, Eimear Heffernan, Michael O'Boyle, John O'Boyle, Tomás Ruane, Daniel Loftus and Tiernan Lynn – brought great pride back to their community after achieving national success.

Tickets for the gala awards event in Breaffy House Resort on March 13 are available now.
