Mayo Young Sports Stars: Year to remember on the fairways

What an outstanding 2025 it was for young Westport golfer Thomas McDonagh.

In the KPMG Irish Kids Golf Tour, Thomas was crowned the Under 9 Leinster, Connaught, Ulster and Munster champion. Winning all four was an amazing feat.

However, this was bettered when he won the Under 14 Connaught Close Championship and went on to win the Westport Golf Club Open Mixed Ping Summer Series.

Thomas will be recognised for his great year on the fairways at The Connaught Telegraph Mayo Young Sportstars Awards gala ceremony in Breaffy House Resort on Friday, March 13.
