Mixed conditions forecast for Mayo with rain and drizzle possible

A mixed day of weather is in store for Mayo tomorrow with a combination of cloud and sunny spells, along with the chance of some patchy rain or drizzle at times.

Conditions will vary through the day with brighter intervals developing, though cloud will remain widespread across the county on Monday, March 8.

Outbreaks of light rain or drizzle may move through during the day, but many areas will also experience dry spells.

Highest temperatures are expected to reach between 8 and 10 degrees in light, occasionally moderate, variable breezes.

Looking further ahead, the overall weather pattern is set to remain unsettled as Atlantic low pressure dominates conditions across Ireland.

This will bring a mixed spell of weather through the week with periods of rain and breezy conditions at times.

Monday night will be mostly cloudy. It will begin largely dry for many areas, but outbreaks of rain and drizzle are expected to spread eastwards across the country as the night progresses, becoming more patchy in places.

Temperatures will fall to between 3 and 7 degrees in mostly moderate southerly winds.
