Mayo road closure for grass cutting

MAYO County Council proposes to temporarily close the N5 dual carriageway next month for verge cutting works.

The closure will be for a period of up to five nights (between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.) during the window of April 20 to May 1 to facilitate grass cutting to verges.

Advance notification of the start date will be provided and the road will be opened early if works are completed early.

Diversions will be in place, though emergency access will be maintained.

Objections or observations can be lodged with the council not later than April 10.
