Mayo tributes to 'beautiful lady' Nora Conway on her passing
The death of Nora Conway (née Roche), Curragh, Castlebar, and late of Shannon, Co. Clare, is widely mourned in the community.
She died peacefully on Saturday in the exceptional care of the staff in Mayo University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Many warm tributes have been paid to her on social media.
One stated: "Nora will always be remembered as a beautiful, compassionate lady who worked hard and reared a truly good and gorgeous family."
Another said: "She was a gentle and kind person and a great neighbour."
A further tribute observed: "She was a great character, full of fun, and so glamorous."
Nora is deeply regretted by her loving family: Noreen, Brian, Eoin and Patricia (Pippy), brother Richard (Carlow), sister-in-law Kathleen Doyle, son-in-law John, daughters-in-law Dervill and Fidelma, grandchildren Niamh, Frank, Sarah, Steven, Gwen, Paul, Mark, David, Stephen, Sean and Rory, great-grandchildren Lukas, Saoirse and Maeve, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends, to whom heartfelt sympathy is tendered.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ernie, daughter Josefa and her sisters Dorrie and Joan
Nora will repose in Coady’s Funeral home, Castlebar, tomorrow (Tuesday) from 6 p.m. with removal at 7.30 p.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.
Requiem Mass takes place on Wednesday at 11.30 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.
