Mayo name strong team for Connacht Under 20 opener

The Mayo Under 20 footballers begin their Connacht campaign against Sligo this evening (Wednesday) in Kilcoyne Memorial Park, Tubbercurry.

Manager Keith Higgins has selected a panel featuring several players who were part of the county’s provincial Under 20 title success last year.

The team, captained by Colm Lynch of Parke/Keelogues/Crimlin GAA Club, features Mayo senior regulars Darragh Beirne and Kobe McDonald.

Throw-in in Tubbercurry is scheduled for 5 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance online via the Universe platform.
