New dome delivered to Mayo sports centre
A year after it was blown down during Storm Éowyn, the iconic dome at Connacht GAA's Centre of Excellence is moving closer to being replaced.
A new structure arrived at the centre in Bekan earlier this week.
Posting on X, Connacht GAA announced a 'momentous day at the COE' as the new dome arrived from Slovenia.
And there's great excitement for the building process to continue in the coming weeks.
The dome - the largest of its type in the world and which hosted hundreds of matches every year - was wrecked by high winds during Storm Éowyn in January 2025.
Momentous day at the COE today as the new Dome was delivered all the way from Slovenia!
