Spring sunshine on the way for Mayo on Thursday

Thursday will bring a welcome spell of spring sunshine to Mayo as dry and settled conditions take hold across the county.

It will be a mild day with spells of sunshine throughout, feeling pleasant away from exposed coastal areas where an easterly breeze will keep temperatures cooler.

Highest temperatures of 12 to 18 degrees in a light to moderate easterly wind.

Thursday night will be largely dry with clear spells, though some mist and fog patches will develop towards morning.

Lowest temperatures of 3 to 8 degrees in light northeasterly breezes.

Looking ahead, Friday will also be dry with spells of hazy sunshine and highest temperatures of 12 to 17 degrees.

Settled conditions are expected to continue through the weekend.
