Approval sought for works at Mayo County Council HQ

Proposals to change the building facade of the Annex building at Aras an Chontae, Castlebar - the HQ of Mayo County Council - are being advanced.

The proposal will include an alteration of the façade from metal cladding to a rendered and painted finish.

The matter was the subject of a Part 8 consultation process.

No submissions were lodged by the public in respect of the matter.

Elected members of Castlebar Municipal District are being asked to rubberstamp the project at their meeting next Wednesday.

No indication has been given at this stage in regard to the cost.
