Coleen Rooney set to chat about her Mayo roots on Late Late Show

COLEEN Rooney is expected to chat about her Mayo roots when she appears on the Late Late Show this Friday night.

She is no stranger to Mayo, with family roots in Islandeady, and has visited the county a number of times.

Coleen’s paternal great-grandfather, Tom McLoughlin, was born in Derrycoosh in 1892, and she still has cousins in the area.

The TV personality, author and businesswoman will chat about her life in the media, her marriage with footballer Wayne Rooney and her family connections to Ireland as well as her latest venture into the world of fashion.

Also on Friday night there will be no frontiers as the show honours folk music legend Mary Black in a special episode this week. The singer will perform two of her hit songs, 'Katie' and 'Carolina Rua', and will also be joined by her son, The Coronas frontman Danny O’Reilly.

Mary will also talk about the recent passing of her friend and fellow music legend, Dolores Keane.

Ahead of Ireland’s crunch World Cup 2026 clash against Czechia next Thursday, Jason McAteer will be live in studio with Patrick Kielty. The sports star will reflect on lining out for Ireland in two World Cups, his glittering career on the pitch, and burying the hatchet with his former teammate Roy Keane.
