Great news for Mayo to Dublin commuters as new N5 bypass set to open
The Minister for Transport will officially open a section of the N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramogue bypass next Thursday.
Minister Darragh O'Brien will cut the ribbon on the 7-kilometre stretch from Ballinagare to Tibohine.
It's part of the wider 34-kilometre project which will also bypass Ballinagare, Tulsk and Strokestown.
The newly opened section will see Frenchpark and Sheepwalk bypassed.
It's a major boost for regular commuters between Mayo and Dublin.
