Mayo communities grieve the passing of Alacoque Joyce
The death has taken place of Alacoque Joyce (née Sweeney), Station Road, Castlebar, and formerly of Ballyheane.
She died peacefully at Mayo Hospice yesterday (Sunday), surrounded by her family.
A much-loved and respected personality, she is sadly missed by her daughter Annette (Mellett), daughter-in-law Clare, son-in-law Johnny, grandchildren John, Jane, Joe, Heather and Niall, brother Seamus, sister Marie, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.
Alacoque was predeceased by her husband John, son Seamus, parents Dick and Una Sweeney, and her brothers Sean and Richard.
Removal from her daughter’s residence at Cottage Road, Breaffy, tomorrow (Tuesday) at 4.30 p.m. for reposal in Ballyheane Community Centre at 6 p.m., with removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyheane at 8 p.m.
Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11 a.m. followed by burial in Ballyheane Cemetery.
