Cold and blustery day ahead for Mayo with risk of hail

Mayo faces a cold and blustery Wednesday with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers.

Wednesday night will turn largely dry with long clear spells and isolated showers. Northwest winds will ease to light variable overnight.

Cloud will thicken from the west on Thursday with patchy light rain and drizzle spreading south-eastwards through the day.

Friday will bring sunny spells and isolated showers following a clearance of rain in the morning.

Some showers may turn to hail or sleet later. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in moderate to fresh north-westerly winds.
