New Mayo Commissioner for Oaths appointed
MAYO has a new Commissioner for Oaths.
Westport woman Tereasa McGuire was appointed by the Chief Justice at the Supreme Court in Dublin today.
A Commissioner for Oaths is authorised to witness the signing of important legal documents, including affidavits and statutory declarations.
The former school principal has a distinguished record of public service as a member of Westport Town Council and Mayo County Council.
Since leaving political life she has qualified as a psychotherapist and death doula, and is a respected figure as a counsellor and community person.
Ms. McGuire brings integrity and experience to her new role in assisting members of the public.
