Overnight Friday, conditions will turn dry and clear, with coastal showers affecting Atlantic areas and the chance of sleet as showers turn wintry at times.

It will be rather chilly, with overnight lows of 0 to 4 degrees in moderate northwest winds. Frost and icy stretches may form in places.

Saturday will be a bright, crisp day with sunny spells and scattered showers, turning wintry at times in the northwest.

Cloud will increase from the west through the afternoon, with showers becoming more isolated.

Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in moderate to fresh northwest winds, strong on coasts.

Rain and drizzle will push in from the northwest overnight Saturday, with Sunday set to be wet and blustery.

Widespread rain will be heavy at times in the north and west, though a clearance from the northwest is expected to develop with sunny spells and isolated showers following.

Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees on Sunday in strong and gusty southwest winds.

Further into next week, rain and drizzle are forecast to continue through Monday and Tuesday, though a brief spell of more settled weather is expected for Wednesday as high pressure builds.

Conditions will turn unsettled again from Thursday as Atlantic systems move in.
