Mixed weekend in store for county Mayo

Saturday will be bright and breezy with sunny spells and scattered blustery showers, some heavy and possibly thundery in the morning.

The showers will ease during the afternoon, turning mostly dry by evening.

Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in moderate to fresh and gusty northwesterly winds, backing westerly and easing later in the day.

Saturday night will be largely dry and clear at first with just isolated showers.

Cloud will build from the west with rain following into the northwest towards morning.

Lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees in light to moderate southwesterly winds, strengthening towards morning.

Sunday will turn wet and breezy for a time, before conditions become generally mixed.
