Rain expected to clear across Mayo with sunny spells to follow
Wednesday will start mainly cloudy with drizzle and mist.
Rain will move southeastwards across the province through the late morning and early afternoon, becoming lighter and patchier as it tracks south.
Dry weather and sunny spells will follow from the northwest through the afternoon and evening.
Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees, becoming cooler as the rain clears, with light to moderate southwesterly winds turning northwesterly.
Later in the week, there is potential for a spell of wet and windy weather on Saturday, with temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees falling quickly during the evening.
Some showers may turn wintry over the weekend as temperatures drop to between 0 and 3 degrees overnight Saturday into Sunday.
