New food store with European twist opens in Mayo
A new convenience food store has opened at Cavendish Lane in Castlebar, marking the launch of a new locally focused retail network in County Mayo, with more locations planned across the county.
Eastore brings together fresh groceries, bakery items, quality meats, fruit and veg, and a mix of Irish and European products offering a quick and easy shopping option for everyday needs, right in the heart of the community.
Designed around how people shop day-to-day, Eastore makes it easy to call in for a few bits or complete a full weekly shop without the hassle.
The Castlebar store includes:
· A fresh bakery with daily baked goods
· A butchery section with quality meats
· A wide range of groceries
· A fully stocked off licence
· Fruits and vegetables
· A hot dogs and snack area, ideal for quick bites on the go
The store is designed for quick visits as well as full weekly shops making it easy to grab a pastry, pick up ingredients for dinner, or stock up on pantry staples.
Castlebar is the first location in what will become a growing Eastore presence across County Mayo, with further openings planned.
Each store is shaped around what local customers actually want to combine everyday Irish staples with popular European products, all in a format that suits quick, regular visits.
Aneta Mierzwicka, operational manager at Eastore said: “We wanted to create a shop where people can call in for something quick but still find proper fresh food and a bit more choice than they’d expect.
"It’s about making everyday shopping easier, while bringing something new to the area at the same time.”
Eastore is supported by the Polonez Group, Ireland’s most established Eastern European food retailer, with over 20 years of experience and more than 52 stores nationwide.
