Mild and breezy Monday for Mayo with sunny breaks

Monday will be a rather windy day across Mayo, largely dry with plenty of cloud but sunny spells breaking through at times.

Some patchy light rain and drizzle will occur.

Highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees with fresh to strong south or southeast winds, easing to moderate to fresh later.

Tonight will bring dry and mostly clear conditions over the eastern half of the county.

Variable cloud further west with some showery outbreaks of rain possible towards morning.

Lowest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh southeast winds.

Looking to the week ahead, Tuesday will bring sunny spells in the morning giving way to cloudier conditions with showery outbreaks of rain, potentially heavy or thundery at times, before easing in the evening.

Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees. Wednesday will bring a mix of cloud and sunny spells with isolated showers, before rain pushes in over the northwest later in the day.

Temperatures will reach 11 to 15 degrees.

Conditions will turn cooler and more showery on Thursday with fresh and gusty northwesterly winds developing.
