Entry details announced for Mayo AC 5k Series

Following the launch of the 2026 Shaw Commercials Mayo AC 5k Series recently, the club has shared some more details about race entry, registration and the race locations.

Mayo AC is delighted that Shaw Commercials, EBS and Intersport Elverys have teamed up as the main sponsors for the 14th edition of this popular series.

Whether you’re a seasoned club runner, part of a fitness group, or just starting your running journey, the series is a fantastic opportunity to make new friends and find support at five ‘no frills, low key’ events.

The series will feature five chip-timed races. It serves as the club’s main annual fundraiser, and your support and participation would be greatly appreciated.

The five 5k races will take place over five consecutive Tuesday evenings, all starting at 8 p.m. sharp. The details for each location are as follows: Castlebar - May 12 at De La Salle Hall (F23VF72); Westport - May 19 at the Sports Complex (F28XT85); Claremorris - May 26 at the athletics track (F12KX63); Ballinrobe - June 2 at Ballinrobe Town FC (F31T993); Manulla - June 9 at Manulla FC (F23KF66). The Manulla event will also include an end-of-series party and prizegiving.

Entry costs €50 for the full series (five races) or €15 for a single race. Entrants must be over 13 years or over on day of race. The first 150 online entrants will receive a complimentary series t-shirt. Sign up now on the link or QR code at www.mayoac.com.
