New motorsport club set up for Mayo and the west

It's lights out and away we go! A new chapter in Irish motorsport has begun with the establishment of Wild Atlantic Motor Club – one of the newest additions to the motorsport community in the west of Ireland.

Behind the scenes, months of hard work and dedication have gone into bringing the club to life. From careful planning to final preparations, every detail has been meticulously handled to ensure a strong start. Now, with everything in place, the club is ready to hit the ground running.

Already boasting over 50 members, Wild Atlantic Motor Club is quickly building a passionate and active community. Members have been busy marshalling at events across Ireland and even further afield, contributing to the safe and successful running of motorsport competitions.

But that’s just the beginning. The club has an exciting calendar ahead, with a variety of events and activities currently in development for members to enjoy.

One of the club’s first major outings was a fantastic trip to the UK, where members visited Prodrive and the National Motorsport Museum. It was an unforgettable experience filled with behind-the-scenes insights, incredible machinery, and plenty of shared enthusiasm for the sport.

Club members also made the trip north at the weekend for the legendary Circuit of Ireland Rally, both to support the event and take on marshalling duties.

If you’re passionate about motorsport and want to be part of a growing, energetic club, Wild Atlantic Motor Club would love to hear from you. Whether you’re interested in marshalling, attending events, or simply connecting with like-minded enthusiasts, there’s a place for you in the team.
