Status Yellow wind warning issued for Mayo

A Status Yellow wind warning has been issued for Mayo, with strong and gusty south to southeast winds forecast for Friday.

The warning, issued by Met Éireann, is valid from noon until 9 p.m. on Friday, April 11.

Forecasters are warning of difficult travelling conditions and the potential for fallen trees and branches during the period.

The warning also covers counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim and Sligo.
